Summer In Breckenridge![]() Step out of your apartment and enjoy the hiking trails that are right on your doorstep. This is 'Outdoors' at it's best. For all our active guests it just can't be better than here in Breckenridge. Breath in the crystal clear mountain air and soak up the sun, it's great for well-being and brings joy to the soul. Summer in Breckenridge would not be complete without a visit to the Peak 8 Fun Park, which is open from mid-June to first week in September. Don't miss the Super Slide and ride the slalom course or Giant slalom with multiple dips. Get lost in the twists and turns of Colorado's largest human maze. Scenic chair lift rides take you up to 11,059ft for easy hiking and picturesque views of the Continental Divide. Fly across the mountain terrain on 6 zip lines. Peak 8 also offers mountain biking on a wide network on trails, for varying levels of ability, and accessed by the Colorado Super Chair lift. All this and more can be enjoyed on individual, half day and full day tickets. ![]() Fly and lure fishermen can wet their lines about any time of the year and at least half of the fishing is Gold Medal. Within an hour's drive of Breckenridge you will find more than a hundred miles of major riverbank fishing as well as thousands of miles of streams, ten major reservoirs and lakes and absolutely breathtaking scenery. A popular river trip amongst families, Brown's Canyon on the Arkansas, offers a mix of exciting whitewater rafting and stunning scenery. The Royal Gorge on the Arkansas river constricts and carves through a thousand-foot gorge with class III waters, making it one of the most thrilling whitewater trips in the west. ![]() Bikers can cycle the 200 miles of off-road trails and 20 miles of paved roads that connect the Summit County and the local Bike Path system. Ride the trails though lovely forested areas to Ten Mile Creek and Copper Mountain and even over the hill to Vail. ![]() The town of Breckenridge boasts that it is the only municipality in the world to own an award winning 27-hole Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. Open from May to October. The Breckenridge Summer Music festival is fun for all the family with performances for all musical tastes. From classical to contemporary, patriotic to poetic, and chamber to opera. Why not come to Main Street on a Saturday morning and purchase some of the fresh produce from the farmer's market (June to September). |
